This week, MKA welcomed our newest and youngest members, the graduating class of 2029 and their families to our school community. The first few weeks of Pre-K at the Primary School are devoted to supporting the children's social and emotional well-being as they adapt to their new surroundings. The children's new school experience got off to a fun and productive start! Parents joined their children in our Pre-K classrooms for a one-hour orientation on Tuesday morning, during which time the children met their new teachers and classmates. The children's first full days in Pre-K began on Wednesday. In order to become familiar with the schedule, the children followed the full routine of a typical day in Pre-K. They successfully made the transition through morning carline and arrival, hung up their backpacks and checked in for attendance and lunch orders. The children had their first Morning Meeting, during which they greeted one another, explored the calendar routine and joined in a song and dance activity. As the Pre-K followed their full schedule, new Encore teachers and routines were introduced each day.
