The Pre-K children celebrated Valentine’s Day by exchanging Valentine’s Day cards with each other. The children were inspired to write about the ways they could show their love for someone. Later, both Pre-K classes gathered together for a party.
The Pre-K has been continuing their study of fairy tales by closely examining character. Having spent the past few weeks looking for the qualities of honesty and confidence within fairy tale characters, the Pre-K spent this week designing their very own fairy tale characters. Inspired by their own creativity, they drew elaborate characters with special abilities and features. Then, they thought about what types of activities their characters were good at, what each character liked about himself or herself and what each character would say if he or she told the truth.
