Pre-K continues to thrive with the fairy tale unit. With signs of Spring beginning to shows it face, and the African Folk tale unit around the corner, we simply could not let go of the wonders of fairy tales. Using flannel boards and Scholastic Finger Puppet Theater the children engaged feverishly in acting out Billy Goats Gruff, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Three Little Pigs. Finger puppets then evolved into our homemade puppets. Students created their own fairy tale puppets and also brainstormed creative names for their puppets. At Morning Meeting, we collaboratively put together a round robin fairy tale using our created puppet characters.The entire Pre-K team wishes you all a wonderful Spring Break. Get outside, soak up some sun, and enjoy some time away from school.
